Songs to Learn

This video is an ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation of Phillip Phillips' "Home." The video was produced by a team of Deaf campers & staff from Deaf Film Camp 2015 at Camp Mark Seven (deaffilmcamp.com). The video's shots of actors on stage, artists in action, and filmmakers in training highlight the emotional connection of the music.

Phillip Phillips' “Home” with lyrics

Owl City’s “Fireflies” Lyrics

Use this video to practise singing the song. This video has three versions of the song. First, practise singing along while reading the words. Then, practise singing on your own as you read. Finally, practise singing from memory.

Teaching Videos

Learn how to practise your music without your instrument. I call this “mental practise.”

Use this video as a reminder for how to set up your saxophone.

Here is another way to assemble your saxophone. This is a great instructional video. Just keep in mind that in this video, when they show you how to put the reed on the mouthpiece, they are actually using a clarinet reed and mouthpiece. A saxophone reed and mouthpiece look slightly different.
